PART OF THE AMERICA250 ASIAN AMERICAN STAKEHOLDERS WEEKEND
Future Builders
We are part of America’s story. We are part of what comes next.
Future Builders brings people together to explore how we participate, contribute and build together—across generations, professions, cultures and experiences.
LISTEN • UNDERSTAND • PARTICIPATE • CONTRIBUTE
From Commemoration to What Comes Next
The commemoration recognizes the people, families and communities whose contributions are part of America’s story.
Future Builders asks: What is our role now?
Asian Americans are Americans with Asian heritage. We live, work, learn, raise families, build businesses and serve communities across America.
Being a stakeholder means recognizing that what happens here matters to us—and how we participate matters too.
01 - WE BELONG
02 - WE PARTICIPATE
03 - WE CONTRIBUTE
04 - WE BUILD TOGETHER
You’re Already Part of the Community
You don’t need a title to participate. You may be a student, employee, parent, entrepreneur, professional, retiree or community member. Start with the life and experience you already have.
LISTEN
Understand before responding.
Hear experiences and needs beyond your own.
OBSERVE
Learn how the room works.
Notice people, culture, expectations and what is actually needed.
CONTRIBUTE
Add value with purpose.
Bring your skills where they are useful.
Learn With People Outside Your Usual Circle
Stakeholders don’t live or work in isolation. Future Builders brings together people whose generations, cultures, professions and experiences may be different from our own.

INTERGENERATIONAL
Learn across different stages of life and career.

INTERCULTURAL
Understand how culture and experience shape communication and expectations.

CROSS-SECTOR
Exchange perspectives beyond your own profession or industry.
Stakeholders Across American Life
We all participate in different parts of American life. Future Builders brings those experiences together—so we can learn how different fields affect our families, workplaces, communities and shared future.
HEALTH & WELLBEING
How do we strengthen individual, family and community wellbeing?
LAW & CIVIC LIFE
How do rights, responsibilities and institutions affect everyday life?
LEADERSHIP & SERVICE
How do we lead, support and contribute where we are needed?
BUSINESS & INNOVATION
How do ideas, work and entrepreneurship create opportunity and value?
MEDIA & COMMUNICATION
How do we tell stories, communicate across differences and understand one another?
HISTORY & AMERICAN STORY
What can the experiences of earlier generations teach us about participation today?
NONPROFIT & COMMUNITY
How do people and organizations turn concern into useful service?
EDUCATION & HUMAN POTENTIAL
How do we help people learn, grow and reach their potential?
Different fields. Different experiences. One shared question: How do we participate and contribute well?
Across the Areas That Shape Our Lives
These conversations connect stakeholder skills to the fields and institutions we encounter every day.
Stakeholder Mindset
Intercultural Leadership
Workplace Communication
Teamwork
Growth & Opportunity
Contributing With Purpose
Different fields bring different perspectives to the table. A healthcare professional, attorney, entrepreneur, student, historian, nonprofit leader or parent may see the same question differently. That is the point.
From Conversation to Commitment
The Future Builders Charter
Future Builders is not only about having good conversations. What we learn and exchange should lead somewhere.
Throughout the weekend, participants will contribute ideas and perspectives toward a Future Builders Charter—a shared statement about how we participate, contribute and build together as stakeholders.
On Sunday, we come back together to present and sign the Charter.
LISTEN • EXCHANGE • CONTRIBUTE • BUILD
CONTRIBUTE
Bring ideas from your conversations.
BUILD
Help shape what we can carry forward together.
SIGN
Come together Sunday for the Future Builders Charter Signing.
Take It With You
What we practice in Future Builders can strengthen how we work, lead, communicate and participate long after the weekend.
WORKPLACE
Communicate across cultures and generations.
LEADERSHIP
Know when to lead, listen, support and follow.
TEAMWORK
Understand people before trying to influence the outcome.
COMMUNITY
Recognize needs and contribute where you can add value.
A new perspective. A useful connection. A better way to communicate. A clearer understanding of where you can contribute.
